Who are We?

After being introduced to Dr Who on Saturday evenings in the very early seventies I have always had an interest in space and science fiction and my favourite interests are the Anderson productions and in particular Thunderbirds above all else. Other interests include the usual I guess; Star Trek, X-Files, Stargate, Dr Who, Blakes 7, Red Dwarf, Babylon 5 etc, etc, etc. There is not much I would not give a go, time permitting. I love movies and going to the movies, there is no better way to see a film. Obviously I enjoy the SF films but I also get a kick from Shakespeare, westerns, comedy, classics and even musicals. I also enjoy going to concerts, the theatre, lectures, and am willing to try new things … I am even going to the opera later this year.

Other interests include making sci-fi model flying rockets, making movies, collecting memorabilia, producing The Contact sci-fi newsletter, going to Cult TV and Fanderson conventions, dressing up (see Stardoor SD1!), going to the movies, concerts, theatre and erm … oh yes going to the Horseshoe Inn twice a month to the LOTNA meetings.

Being a fan of science fiction is not just about wearing an anorak, it’s about having fun while wearing it … and LOTNA know how to have fun!
